Visitor / Tourist Information
Step back in time in our 1950's railway carriage where you can see display material on the local area and trails. North York Moors National Park Authority have kindly helped with the displays. Read about the history of the Whitby / Scarborough railway line which since it's closure in 1965 is now used as a coastal cycle trail with stunning views along the coast which you can't get from the car. You can even sit in an original railway carriage compartment & read all about it from our extensive collection of books, leaflets and documents. - You could even bring along your own Harry Potter book. Did you know that some of the filming took place close-by!
DISPLAYS - showing the cycle trails, National Park and local area / history. LEAFLETS, BOOKS & MAPS etc - local free information leaflets available, books & maps to buy.
